Milwaukee’s 3494-23R M12 three-tool combo kit has returned for the 2026 holiday shopping season at a reported $199. It adds a brushed 3/8-inch cordless ratchet to a two-tool kit priced at $149; current availability, seller details and promotion end dates were not provided in the source.
Milwaukee’s M12 3494-23R three-tool combo kit is back at a reported $199 for the 2026 holiday shopping season, according to tool publication ToolGuyd. The package adds a brushed 3/8-inch cordless ratchet to a drill-and-impact-driver set, while a related two-tool kit is priced at $149.
ToolGuyd says the three-tool package includes Milwaukee’s M12 compact brushless drill, a compact brushless impact driver, and an older brushed-motor 3/8-inch ratchet. The kit also comes with two compact 2Ah batteries, a charger and a tool bag, the report says. The stated $199 price is a promotional price; the source does not identify a retailer or provide a promotion end date.
The accompanying two-tool combo, which omits the ratchet, is reported at $149. That makes the price difference between the listed packages $50. ToolGuyd frames the choice around whether a buyer expects to use a cordless ratchet: the third tool may make the larger kit more appealing to someone who wants one, while the two-tool version costs less for buyers focused on drilling and fastening.
ToolGuyd describes the drill and impact driver as compact brushless models and the ratchet as an older brushed version. It says the ratchet is less powerful and has fewer features than the latest M12 Fuel brushless ratchets, while characterizing the brushed model as a value option. Those are the publication’s product assessments, not independent test results supplied with the deal report.
The $50 Ratchet Upgrade
The reported price gap gives shoppers a direct choice: pay $50 more for the ratchet and the rest of the three-tool package, or choose the $149 drill-and-driver combo. The difference matters most to people who already have compatible batteries and chargers, or who are deciding whether a cordless ratchet would be useful for their work. The source does not provide enough pricing history to establish how the deal compares with past promotions or other current offers.
ToolGuyd says the brushed ratchet does not match the power or features of Milwaukee’s newer M12 Fuel brushless models. Buyers should treat the lower price as a trade-off rather than assume the tools are equivalent. The deal may offer a lower-cost entry to a cordless ratchet, but whether it is worthwhile depends on the buyer’s tasks and the value they place on performance, features and price.

Two M12 Kits, One Decision
The report describes a returning holiday promotion, not a new product launch. Milwaukee’s M12 platform is the product family at the center of the offer; the particular three-tool kit, model 3494-23R, pairs two compact brushless tools with a brushed ratchet. That distinction is relevant because the motor type and product tier differ within the same package.
ToolGuyd’s report also notes that the $149 two-tool promotion has returned. Its author says the compact drill and driver feel preferable ergonomically to the M12 Fuel versions, while acknowledging they are not as powerful. That comparison reflects the author’s stated preference and does not establish a universal performance result.
The source says similar promotional combo kits are expected throughout the holiday season and advises that shoppers do not need to rush. This is the publication’s assessment of how such offers typically behave; it is not a guarantee that this specific kit will remain available at $199 or that the price will last.

Offer Terms Still Missing
The source does not specify which retailer is selling the kits, whether the prices apply online, in stores or both, or when the promotion ends. It also does not confirm inventory levels, shipping costs, regional availability or whether the prices are available to every shopper. Availability and final checkout pricing should be checked with the seller.
The reported contents are identified by ToolGuyd, but the source provides no linked product listing or retailer terms in the supplied material to verify exclusions or package variations. It also gives no independent performance measurements, comparative price history or evidence that the three-tool kit is the best available deal. ToolGuyd’s comments about value and ergonomics should be understood as editorial opinion.
Check the Listing Before Buying
Readers considering either kit should confirm the current price, included accessories and stock on the retailer’s product page before ordering. They should also check whether the listing identifies the ratchet as the brushed 3/8-inch model and whether the package includes the two 2Ah batteries, charger and tool bag described by ToolGuyd.
ToolGuyd expects other promotional combo kits during the 2026 holiday season, but the source names no future offers or dates. It remains unknown how long the $199 and $149 prices will be available or whether either package will sell out. Shoppers can compare the two packages based on whether the ratchet is worth the reported $50 difference and wait for verified retailer terms before making a decision.
